I got addicted to pottery about a year ago after a work function at Clay Studios.  Making a gnome was my first handbuilding experience but ever since I was a child I loved making things from various materials.  Over the last 20 years my passion has been mixed media art and I have been teaching classes in this for the last 3 years at Senz and Auckland Papercraft events.

During maternity leave, I designed knitting patterns that are available on www.lovecrafts.com under BH design and these are sold worldwide.

In pottery I would describe myself as perfectly imperfect - I'm drawn to weird but functional designs and unique shapes but at the end it all comes down to execution.  My personal favourite thing to create is jewellery.  I find shaping, sanding and glazing each fiddly piece very relaxing.  The only problem is that I like them all and have to have a pair for myself too!
