Jade Valour
Jade's love of the sea began in Brooklyn, New York, growing up by the water and spending her childhood summers on the beach, digging for sand crabs, catching fish in a little net and beachcombing for the prettiest shells she could find. The proximity to the sea was a prime reason for her moving to New Zealand in 2007 - specifically Wellington - after living in Germany for 35 years.

Though most of her life has been involved with music, theatre and film, she has always been a lover and collector of handmade ceramics and jewellery and it was a joy for her to discover new pathways in both of these crafts for herself.

Jade is a singer/voice tutor, actor, writer, accent coach, ceramic and jewellery artist. Her adventure in ceramics began at age 60 in an arts workshop in Wellington and continued as a member of the Wellington Potters' Association. Jewellery became a new and exciting challenge some ten years later at The Learning Connexion.
